A counter-depth box gives up several inches of front-to-back storage, so its usable cubic footage is smaller than a standard model of the same width. Treat the table as a starting envelope, not a cut list: a side-by-side, a French-door, and a top-freezer of the same width can still call for slightly different openings, so the published install sheet always governs the final framing.
